Launcher may crash if VC++ redist package not installed. VMSetup is installing only one version as other VC++ versions were not required with my windows. Try to install all versions from earliest and check which version were missing with test launcher start. Report this version and I will add it to VMSetup

Also try to disable DEP for launcher

What windows version did you install? On other resources they recommend to uninstall some update (KB2670838). This might be OS related problem.

I have the win 7 32 bit as the tutorial suggests.

I installed all c++ redist but did not work.

I tried to disable DEP but got message about EVE (tried both the launcher and the client) having to have DEP enabled to run so I could not disable it.

Uninstalling KB2670838 did not help.

Can you try windows safe mode with networking? Launcher start just fine in safe mode.

Start CCP logger LogLite.exe before launcher start. C:\EVE\Launcher\LogLite.exe
It will show launcher log. Check log (if something logged before crash).

If you can start launcher on your host system outside of VM, try to install the same windows in VM.

Host uses win 10 which can't be installed using vmware 7.1 as theres no such option in the list of windows versions to install when creating a new VM.

For some reason I don't have the safe mode option when I start windows in VM. It's only "start normally" or "startup repair" options.

Logs from when starting windows normally, looks like it's failing at downloading some update?

I see you use 4 CPU cores. I never tested this setup. Try 1 CPU 2 Core setup as per manual.

Sorry for late reply but I tried that at first. I just tried it again and no change, same crash. I am going to Thailand today where I have another win 10 computer which I will try all of this on again.
